Have your personal photos of our event included in our music video!
Simply upload your photos HERE, and depending on how many different people participate, we will include them in our music video.
The deadline for sending in your photos is OCTOBER 31, 2011.
Custom 5x7 picture frame keepsakes will be available for purchase at the event. Bring extra cash or checks if you plan on buying them.
We have less than 50 frames available for sale at our event, but don't worry, you will be able to order more after the event. Because these are custom made frames with low order quantities, we have to charge $30.00 (wholesale price including shipping). This item is priced as low as possible to benefit the Alumni. There will be no proceeds from the sale of this item.
Also, the High School Band will have other Castle Park items for sale at our event! They are promoting their fund-raising boosters to earn money for uniforms and equipment/supplies.

We are excited to have one of San Diego's popular local band, Rifftide, perform at our event! They play classic rock and old school jams to get the dance floor rockin', old school style!
PLUS, Rifftide has volunteered to give back to our high school by offering their performances at a steeply discounted fee! They do that because 4 members of the band are Trojan Alumni themselves!
Jill Harvey ('84) is Rifftide’s singer. Dave Inumerable ('80) sings and plays keyboards and guitar. Joe Loera ('82) is a drummer, Paul Segura ('84) plays lead and stroke guitar, and a bassist is Blake Scott, PLUS... possibly a local celebrity: Tommy Sablan ('82) playing backup guitar!
So bring your bell-bottoms and platform shoes and get ready to moonwalk across the gym like you did at our high school dances!
(WARNING! Do not perform any embarassing physical activity without first consulting with your physician and spouse/guest. Failure to do so may result in pain, divorce, and loss of "coolness" among Alumni.)
Welcome Back Trojans!
It's been 30 years since we left the land of TROY! Where did all that time go? Rewind the calendar back to 1981. Unemployment was at 7.6%. First Class Stamps were only $0.18. The cost of gas was $1.25 a gallon. Average annual income was $21,050. Average cost of a new house was $78,200. Ronald Reagan becomes US President. The Space Shuttle Columbia went on its first flight. Researchers found the wreck of the Titanic. Princess Diana and Prince Charles got married in a storybook wedding. IBM launches its first Personal Computer and the MS-DOS operating system. The term “Internet” was first mentioned. 3M launches the Post-It Notes product.
High School Fashion Trends
Remember Angel’s Flight slacks, Member’s Only jackets, IZOD shirts, baggy pants, thin ties, and flipped up collars? How about Cherokee, Crayons, and Platform shoes?
Remember Sergio Valente & Jordache jeans, tube tops, white denims, and the times when miniskirts were NOT in fashion! Bummer! Thank goodness the times have changed.
Teen Idols of Our Time
The Hotties back then were Brooke Shields, Farrah Fawcett, Lynda Carter, Suzanne Somers, Cheryl Tiegs, and Christie Brinkley.
The Hunks back then were Don Johnson, John Travolta, John Stamos, Tony Danza, and Shaun Cassidy.
Popular Music Artists of Our Time
Do you remember songs from the Bee Gees, Blondie, Chic, Commodores, Donna Summer, Earth Wind and Fire, KC & the Sunshine Band, Kool & the Gang, Michael Jackson, Peaches & Herb, Heatwave, Queen, Shalimar, and the Eagles?
Movies Released in 1981
How about some of the popular movies that year, like Raider’s of the Lost Ark, Superman II, Arthur, Cannonball Run, Stripes, For Your Eyes Only, Chariots of Fire, and On Golden Pond?
Class of 1981 * 20-Year Reunion * Wyndham Emerald Plaza * August 18, 2001
Our 20-Year reunion event was AMAZING! If you missed it, don't worry, your Reunion Committe is working extra hard to produce an event like no other this year. This reunion will be better than ever with the joint efforts from your Reunion Committee members, High School Staff, and the Castle Park High School Student Body.
Instead of a typical dinner, dance, and memorabilia display at a local hotel ballroom, we plan to pack in more performances, entertainment, activities, and nostalgia into our event AND cut the ticket price in HALF, from 10 years ago! It's more exciting and more affordable, and we may have local news coverage at our event!
